June 2026 | SuSu 2026: What really is strategic success? with Dr Phil Driver

Phil’s presentation will introduce PRUB-Logic for integrating projects and strategies and will then focus on the meaning of success.

Success means different things to different people. PRUB-Logic emphasises that ‘ultimate success = the achievement of final Benefits’ in a PRUB-Strategy while acknowledging ‘milestone success = successes for various stakeholders along the way to achieving ultimate success’.

The presentation will then evaluate some of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and demonstrate that they are a mixture of Projects, Results, Uses and Benefits. ‘Success’ with these goals will be ‘milestone successes’ for those that are Projects, Results and Uses and will be ‘ultimate successes’ for those that are true Benefits.

Success’ in relation to the UNSDGs depends on whether each ‘goal’ is in reality a Project, a Result, a Use or a Benefit.

About the Speaker

Dr Phil Driver created the PRUB-Logic strategy framework and vocabulary which underpin the OpenStrategies’ system for collaboratively developing, validating, sharing and implementing strategies. PRUB-Logic provides a strategy vocabulary that is being globally recognised because it unequivocally and objectively represents the physical world. Phil’s background in science and engineering management, especially relating to sustainability, led to his facilitation of large-scale industry and public sector strategies which in turn provided the insights which have guided the development of PRUB-Logic.
