This event is taking place in Room: CSM O.023, Cardiff Metropolitan University, Llandaff, Western Avenue,  Cardiff, CF5 2YB.

The talk will highlight some of the challenges of implementing project management within the creative industries, highlight the approach taken at the BBC and the outcomes achieved.  JM will also outline the diversity of projects that the BBC undertakes and the challenges and successes they have experienced before setting out a view of the profession in the next few years at the corporation.

Speaker

Dr. John-Mark Frost (known as JM)

JM is a Senior Project Director at the BBC – currently working on the BBC’s response to the 2025 Culture Review. He moved to the Beeb in 2023, following a 15-year career running projects, programmes and services across government departments. Before moving to the global broadcaster, he was Director of Operations and then Director of Transformation Delivery at Companies House.  JM has extensive operational, delivery and change experience across fast-paced, complex organisations and a PhD in behaviour change.  He has expertise in governance and portfolio management (including various qualifications) and has both Exec and Non-Exec Director experience including as:

  • Non-Exec Director and Chair of the Centre for Digital Public Services (CDPS);
  • Chair of Trustees for a local charity in Cardiff;
  • Founding Trustee of Welsh National Theatre.

JM is based in Cardiff, where he lives with his wife and two teenage daughters, two dogs and a tortoise.
