Risk Management is crucial to project success. By proactively managing risks, project teams can make informed decisions, allocate resources effectively, and enhance stakeholder confidence, ultimately increasing the chances of achieving project objectives. Chris Bird will look at WHY we need to improve in relation to decision and risk management, HOW we can improve future success with robust framing, alternative solution prioritisation and scenario planning, and WHAT we need to focus on to improve project performance. Paul Foy will take you through the process of CSRA (Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis) at a very high level. He will then be asking the question ‘Now we’ve done the analysis, what do we do with the results?’ Andy Sutherland will provide a recap of Risk Management principles and discuss the key features of Risk Management tools before providing hints and tips on holding more engaging risk workshops.

About the Speakers
Chris Bird is Chairman of Riskwell, CEO of Meridian resources, and has worked in the energy industry for over 40 years. Starting as an engineer he has worked in a variety of key positions including Technical, Operations, and Managing Director as well as CEO. He is a Fellow of several institutes, has taught Project Management at universities, and is technical head of risk at FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers).
Paul Foy is the founder of Value Performance and has worked in the energy industry for over 40 years. As a result of his own experiences as a Project Manager and project team member, he is a passionate proponent of Risk Management as a methodology for project success.
Andy Sutherland is Managing Director of Prism Energy and leads the consultancy and digital sides of the Project Delivery business. Using his experience in the Energy industry he helps companies improve project delivering by developing and implementing digital tools and systems that streamline risk, action, and lessons learned management.
