From Experience to Impact: Turn Experience into Opportunity with Neil Horner

Many people have valuable experience but struggle to articulate it, translate it into project language, or stand out in a crowded job market. This interactive session with Neil Horner is designed to change that.

In just 34 minutes, Neil will actively engage you in reflecting on your own experience, understanding the fundamentals that truly make a difference in project delivery, and adopting the language and mindset of modern project management. Drawing on his own career journey from engineer to Chartered Manager and trusted advisor, Neil uses storytelling and practical insight to connect experience to confidence.

You will be encouraged to reassess what you already bring, understand how projects can frame and evidence your capability, and leave with a clearer sense of how to position yourself with assurance. This session is ideal for those who feel they have more to offer than their CV shows, are seeking opportunity but not gaining traction, or want to differentiate themselves with clarity and confidence.

The AI-Augmented Project Manager: How Future PMs can Work Smarter, Make Better Decisions, and Stand Out in the Job Market with Jiten Bhardwaj

In this session, “The AI-Augmented Project Manager”, we will explore how AI can be practically applied across the project lifecycle to help PMs work smarter, make better-informed decisions, and reduce the burden of repetitive tasks. Going beyond theory, the session will focus on real-world application, including how attendees can develop and showcase AI and automation skills to stand out in an increasingly competitive job market.

We will also explore the critical role humans continue to play in project management, from judgement and leadership to stakeholder engagement and how these skills become even more important in an AI-augmented world.

Speakers

Neil Horner is a SME Founder, Project Director, and Independent P3 Advisor and Change Lead, recognised for turning strategic intent into confident, assured delivery. Beginning his career in industry as an engineer at 16, Neil progressed through experiential routes to become a professional, Chartered Manager, building over two decades of cross‑sector experience along the way.

Neil has worked across complex, live environments and regulated industries, supporting organisations and leaders to translate ambition into outcomes through effective project, programme and portfolio management. A Fellow of the Association for Project Management and founder of P34B Ltd, he is known for his practical, proportionate approach and his commitment to building real capability in people, not dependency on process.

Passionate about developing others, Neil sees projects as powerful learning vehicles. He works extensively with emerging professionals and those navigating career transitions, helping them recognise, articulate and apply the experience they already have in ways that employers value today.
