PMI UK London Branch Event: Are you a Commander, Cheerleader, Carer, or a Critical Thinker? 17th June 2026

This event is taking place in University College London (UCL), Lecture Theatre 115 in Torrington Place (1-19), WC1E 7HB

Do you want to:

Understand how you show up for other people determines your outcomes?
Make your team more than the sum of its parts?
Understand how to ‘Unlock the People Puzzle’ in your Projects that left unchecked can often lead to confusion, conflict and ambiguity?

If the answer is Yes, then this workshop is for you!

Nigel will be delivering his popular and entertaining session on the great self-awareness tool DISC.  Find out your default style as he unpicks the various styles, traits and characteristics that all play out in our typical day-to-day project interactions and how this can lead to misunderstanding and difficult conversations…and more importantly, how you can become more aware of them, prepare for and overcome them. So, there’s plenty of positives in here too!

Learn what motivates you, what fears you may have, your primary method of control and what you true value to your project really is. Understand this from everyone else’s perspective too. It might very well highlight some ‘blind spots!’ for you! What does it take to become a real diplomat?

With these fascinating insights, Nigel will then give you some useful tips and strategies so you can ‘modify to manage’ your own professional relationships to achieve the best results. He’ll also be using the fantastic Mentimeter interactive software where we’ll be bringing the session to life with your real-time input.

What you’ll discover in the session will maybe be ‘the difference that makes the difference’ in your project successes!
