PMI UK Glasgow Branch Event: The Getaway Train – Collaboration Over Competition in Project Delivery. 10th March 2026

This event is taking place at 110 Queen St, Glasgow G1 3BX.

Networking will take place between 5.30pm – 6pm.

Every project has a destination…

But not everyone starts at the same station, gets the same ticket, hears the same announcement, or even makes it onto the right train. In this engaging session, Emma Walker uses her signature storytelling to illuminate why collaboration and clarity so often falter in project delivery. Especially for neurodivergent team members whose strengths and needs can be easily overlooked and what leaders can do to keep people aligned, informed and moving in the same direction.

Emma’s 20 years lived experience across retail, hospitality and corporate leadership, alongside her deep insight into how neurodivergent minds operate in fast‑paced delivery environments gives her a uniquely human and practical lens. She translates real behaviours into clear, actionable tools that help project teams reduce friction, communicate with intention and create delivery environments where people are supported, not stretched.

This session offers down‑to‑earth insight into the human side of project work: the unseen risks, the misunderstandings that cost time and the small shifts that help neurodivergent and neurotypical colleagues collaborate with less friction and more trust. Emma’s warm, relatable style makes even complex dynamics feel simple and applicable, the kind of perspective that leaves attendees saying, “Ah, that explains why that keeps happening.”

If you want a session that strengthens collaboration, reduces hidden delivery challenges and equips teams to work more inclusively and more humanly, Emma is someone you’ll want to hear.
