PMI UK Midlands & Derbyshire Branch Event: Will AI make the project manager obsolete? 19th November 2025

PMI UK Midlands & Derbyshire Branch Event: Will AI make the project manager obsolete? 19th November 2025

This event is taking place at The University of Warwick, IDL Auditorium Warwick, Coventry, CV4 7AL.

With the increasing use of AI, how is the project profession being impacted by it? A great question, and in this highly interactive session we’ll explore this question in a more detail. Going back to first principles and exploring just what a project actually is and the main reasons for failure (yes, lots of projects fail), we will discuss how project management may be impacted by the use of AI – and whether AI will make the role of the project manager obsolete.

Oh…be ready to use your phones/devices and get involved with some live research into the effects of AI in project management.

What’s in if for the Attendees:?

You’ll be clear as to exactly what a project is (and, crucially, isn’t – you may be surprised), why projects go wrong, and how AI can help us deliver better projects.

And..oh…have a bit of fun whilst we explore all of this.

Who Should Attend:

Everyone and anyone! You don’t have to be a project manager to enjoy this interactive workshop – come along, contribute and find out more about projects.
