PMI UK Webinar: Lost in Translation: Why Communication Makes or Breaks Global Projects (and AI). 12th February 2026

In today’s global environment, project success depends less on tools and methodologies—and far more on how clearly teams communicate. Misunderstandings, assumptions, vague messages, cultural gaps, and the “curse of knowledge” quietly generate delays, rework, and frustration. And when a project spans countries, time zones, or cultures, these risks multiply.
In this interactive workshop, Guilherme Furlan brings over 15 years of global experience leading multicultural teams across the USA, Brazil, Europe, and Asia in the energy, automotive, supply chain, and semiconductor industries. Through real stories, data, and a group dynamic, participants will experience how small communication gaps evolve into major project issues.
We will explore:
- Why communication matters far more than we think
- The Leadership Mastery Cycle (and why communication is one of its pillars)
- The 7 most common communication barriers
- The Curse of Knowledge
- Erin Meyer’s Culture Map
- A group dynamic illustrating misalignment
- Five principles for clear, efficient communication
- Five questions to avoid rework
- What AI teaches us about human communication
Participants will leave with practical tools to improve clarity, alignment, and leadership across any project or team.
